Lakes Oil NL (ASX:LKO) is the most active stock on the ASX today, trading 99 million shares in the first two hours of trade.

The company's share price remains at $0.003.

Interest in the company has been driven following a formal offer to the Victorian Minister for Resources for the parties to work cooperatively to address the exploration ban currently in place.

Lakes Oil is looking to help address the gas shortages in the state.

Australia Mines Ltd (ASX:AUZ) is once again very actively trading, with 49 million shares changing hands, and a 5% increase in value to $0.021.

The company recently commissioned a helicopter-borne electromagnetic and magnetic geophysical survey of its wholly-owned Thackaringa Cobalt Project.
