Kestrel Gold Inc (CVE:KGC) has started a drill program at its Val-Jual property in the White Gold District of Yukon and unveiled further positive exploration findings from there.
Work in the Cupid East area consisted of hand-trenching, rock sampling and limited soil sampling in a bid to find the source of the previously announced 175m x 200m gold soil anomaly, the Toronto listed mining group said.

The anomaly, open to the south, played host to samples averaging 122 ppb (parts per billion) Au (gold) with a peak value of 1,335 ppb of gold.
The latest work yielded rock samples with peak values of 6.686 g/t (grams per ton) gold and peak values of 12,400 ppb of gold from soil sampling.
The drilling at Val-Jual will consist of 13 holes in 900 metres of RC (reverse circulation) drilling and also excavator trenching, the group added.
The drilling will mark the first test of the easily accessed RQC, Alcove, BQC, Lonely and T5Main target areas, while an approximate 5-day excavator trenching program is planned for the less accessible Cupid East and Teckphel areas.
