Great Boulder Resources Ltd (ASX:GBR) now has its maiden exploration program underway at the Mt Venn copper-nickel-cobalt prospect, located within its Yamarna Project east of Laverton in Western Australia.
This signals the first exploration at Mt Venn since Great Boulder revealed initial assays of up to 1.7% copper plus nickel and cobalt in March this year.
Stefan Murphy, managing director, commented:
"Operating the EM and aircore crews in parallel enables us to quickly define and prioritise our targets for the next phase of reverse circulation and diamond drilling.
"We expect results from both the EM and geochem to be available in early October, which will enable planning for the next phase.
"Heritage clearance has also been given for the next phase of drilling, which will enable us to resume sitework rapidly in October.
"The awarding of the co-funded drilling grant also enables Great Boulder to undertake a more extensive drill program in our next phase as we test for copper-nickel sulphide mineralisation."
