Dotz Nano (ASX:DTZ) has finalised the registration process with Sigma Aldrich (NASDAQ:SIAL) to sell its graphene quantum dots (GDQ) through Sigma Aldrich’s online and printed catalogues.
The GQD is an advanced multi-functional material used in various applications including medical imaging, sensing, consumer electronics, energy storage, solar cells and computer storage.
The process of registration with Sigma Aldrich took over nine months and included multiple testing and validation of GQDs in an extensive quality assurance process.
Dotz Nano’s GQDs are now displayed on Sigma Aldrich’s website.
Sigma Aldrich purchased a quantity of Dotz’s GQDs to market under its own logo to over one million life science customers globally.
In addition, Sigma Aldrich will be sponsoring a showcase on GQDs for its customers to raise visibility of this new material.
It is worth noting that the Sigma Aldrich website has over 77 million visits a year and had more than €3.4 billion in revenue in 2015.
Sigma Aldrich will facilitate the sales of Dotz GQDs to academic, industrial and government research and development laboratories as well as commercial businesses that use GQDs for research.
Dotz Nano’s share price increased by 7.7% on Monday, closing at US$0.14.
