Top End Minerals (ASX:TND) has appointed a new three-member board supported by the company’s financiers.

The new board will comprise John Lamb as non-executive chairman, Jeff Moore as non-executive director and Rowan Caren as non-executive director and company secretary.

The previous board of directors have all resigned, which also included the company secretary.

Lamb is an experienced business leader in the mining, construction, forestry and transport sectors.

His career of over 25 years includes chief executive roles for Shaw Contracting (civil construction) and Lloyds North (transport and forest services); and general management roles for multiple mines.

Moore is a geologist with extensive technical, managerial and project finance experience in exploration and mining for publicly listed companies.

During his career, he has generated and managed projects for multiple commodities throughout Australia, Central and South America, Africa and Asia.

Finally, Caren is a chartered accountant and has been involved in the minerals exploration industry for over 20 years.

Top End is currently in a trading halt pending details of a capital raising.

Last month the company reached an agreement for an option to acquire an 85% interest in the Bawdwin Zinc-Lead-Silver-Copper Mine lease located in Myanmar.

The historical Bawdwin Mine was reputedly one of the richest mines in the British Empire before World War II.

The halt will remain in place until the opening of trade on Wednesday 21st June 2017, or earlier if an announcement is made to the market.
