The company is also developing cannabis-based skin care products

Bod Australia (ASX:BDA) has signed an agreement to sell its skin care products as part of inflight duty-free services on international Virgin Australia flights.

The company has entered a distribution deal with Alpha Inflight Services, owned by Dnata (a wholly owned subsidiary of Emirates Group), one of the largest suppliers of air services in the world.

Bod operates a skin care and natural medicines business focused on all natural, evidence based products.

The company also has exclusive rights to distribute Dr Roebuck’s and Pommade Divine in Australia, New Zealand and China, and BIOEFFECT in Australia.

The skin care products BIOEFFECT and Pommade Divine will now be available for passengers to purchase on Virgin Australia flights between Melbourne and Hong Kong.

BIOEFFECT has a turnover of $38 million a year in 28 countries, and is sold on other airlines globally including British Airways, Virgin Atlantic, Lufthansa and Finnair.

The new agreement with Alpha opens Bod Australia up to the lucrative travel sector, with the potential to extend this agreement to other airlines in the future.

Incidentally, Bod is continuing to progress its plans to develop, manufacture and commercialise cannabis extracts from Switzerland.

The company’s agreement with Switzerland based Linnea Natural Pharma Solutions gives it global access to a standardised cannabis extract.

This will be used by Bod in the development of two product ranges- a skin care product line and therapeutic products to treat conditions such as nausea, vomiting, inflammation and anxiety.
