The company remains on track to enter zinc production in 2017

Red River Resources (ASX:RVR) has received high grade assay results from diamond drill hole LTED07 at the Liontown East target within the Thalanga Zinc Project  in Queensland.

LTED07 intersected a broad zone of massive and semi-massive sulphide mineralisation from 527.5 metres depth.

The intersection measured 19.1 metres at 10.5% zinc equivalent or 0.5% copper, 2.3% lead, 6.4% zinc, 0.2 g/t gold and 13 g/t silver.

This included a high grade zone measuring 3.6 metres at 20.6% zinc equivalent.

LTED07 also intersected a discrete zone of copper-gold-silver mineralisation of 7.7 metres at 1.2% copper, 3.4g/t gold and 36 g/t silver from 557 metres depth.

The hole was drilled to test the strike continuity of the Liontown East discovery, which is located 1.2 kilometres east of the Liontown JORC resource.

This hole demonstrates both excellent strike continuity of high-grade base metal mineralisation and good potential for an expanded JORC resource.

Drilling of the next hole, LTED07W1, is underway, with further drilling also planned.
