Finders Resources (ASX:FND) operations include development of the Wetar Copper Project and the Ojolali Gold/Silver project. The Company has 95% interest in the Wetar Copper Project, Indonesia which has completed its demonstration phase and is moving into the construction phase of its 250,000 tpa SX-EW operation.
Ojolali is a highly promising gold/silver prospect in South Sumatra.
Finders Resources names Michael Stirzaker finance director
Finders Resources PLC (AIM: FND) said it appointed of Michael Stirzaker as finance director with immediate effect.
His initial focus will be to complete a comprehensive financing package for the expansion of the company's Wetar copper project in Indonesia to 20-25,000 tonnes per year copper production, it said in a statement.
Stirzaker holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Cape Town and is an Australian Chartered Accountant. He has more than 25 years of commercial experience, most of which have been in the mining finance and mining investment sector.
In 2007, he joined Tennant Metals, which has a copper cathode offtake agreement with Finders in relation to all of the demonstration plant production and 20-40 percent of the proposed full scale production from the Wetar copper project.
Stirzaker will relinquish his executive director duties at Tennant Metals to take up his new role.
As a Tennant shareholder, he has an indirect interest in 2,338,388 Finders shares held by Tennant Metals Pty Ltd, he also has an indirect interest in 583,902 shares held by Stith Pty Ltd as a potential beneficiary of a trust that owns 100 percent of Stith Pty Ltd, and he has an indirect interest in 1,095,568 shares held by the Stirzaker Family Superannuation Fund.
