Sovereign Metals (ASX:SVM) has been granted a trading halt pending an announce regarding a resource estimate for the Duwi Flake Graphite Project in Malawi.

Earlier in the month the company completed a reverse circulation and diamond core resource drilling program.

Thick and high grade zones of coarse flake graphite mineralisation are reported in a large and coherent body over a cumulative strike length of around 2.2 kilometres.

CSA Global is conducting the modelling.

The halt will remain in place until the opening of trade on Monday 20th October 2014, or earlier if an announcement is made to the market.
