Rusina Mining expects to start new drill campaign soon
Rusina Mining (AIM: RMLA) confirmed that a rotary drill rig was on route to the Acoje Nickel-Chrome-PGM project site in the Philippines. The rig is capable of drilling to depths of 1000 metres, and will be testing for Platinum Group Metals, Chromite and Nickel Sulphides. The first phase program will complete a minimum of 10 holes, or 2000 metres of drilling and is targeting high grade "pods" of platinum group metals.
On a separate note, Rusina also announced that it had committed funds, personnel and equipment to the local town of Santa Cruz which took on considerable damage after typhoon Cosme crossed over the region on May 19. Minor damage was also sustained to the operations of DMCI, one of Rusina's partners, but mining operations have continued. Rusina also confirmed that a further 51,700 wet metric tonnes of 1.7% nickel laterite ore is presently being loaded for export.
