Pegasus Metals (ASX:PUN) has hit more massive sulphides containing high-grade copper and zinc at the South Limb Pod discovery within its Mt Mulcahy Project in WA’s Murchison Region.

Significant intercepts from the latest drilling included: 2.90 metres at 3.4% copper, 1.72% zinc, 24.97 grams per tonne silver and 0.19g/t gold.

The latest intersections are the deepest to date, extending known mineralisation to a vertical depth of 225 metres, where it remains open. The mineralisation occurs over a strike length of 200 metres and 350 metres down dip.

A recently re-evaluated VTEM survey also shows that many of 20 remaining VMS targets contain signatures matching those from South Limb.

Pegasus will now undertake a ground-based electro-magnetic survey to provide more detail on the targets and identify additional targets, followed by an extensive drilling campaign

The results provide additional evidence that South Limb Pod is a significant mineralised body and that Mt Mulcahy could be a VMS Province.
