Range Resources Limited is both an ASX and AIM exploration Company, with its principal activity directed towards finding and delineating natural resources in the oil, gas and mineral sectors in Puntland, Somalia. Puntland is believed to have all the geological requirements to become a commercial oil-producing region. Range Resources confirms arrival of seismic equipment
Range Resources (ASX: RRS / AIM: RRL) the oil and gas explorer with assets in Puntland, announced that its joint venture partner, Africa Oil, had made progress with a planned 2D seismic program in the Dharoor Valley.Range Resources and Africa Oil had been hit by delays due to logistical issues in getting equipment to site location securely. This morning Range Resources confirmed that a site camp and operational facilities had been established, new communication initiatives with local communities and clans had been successful, and that the necessary seismic equipment had arrived at Bossaso Port.
Range Resources was also keen to point out that numerous reports in the press suggesting that the equipment had come under attack and that the company had used private militia were "grossly inaccurate".
