Positron to enter European market at international cardiovascular imaging conference

Positron Corp (OTCBB:POSC), a molecular imaging company specializing in the field of nuclear cardiology, said Thursday it will be presenting at a European conference for Non-Invasive Cardiovascular Imaging.

The international conference, held by the European Society of Cardiology in Amsterdam, will allow Indianapolis-based Positron to draw attention to its Attrius and PosiRx systems, which automate and simplify the dose preparation and dispensing processes for radiopharmaceutical agents used in molecular imaging.

Radiopharmaceuticals, which feature radioactive isotopes, are used in the field of nuclear medicine as tracers in the diagnosis and treatment of many diseases.

The event, which will take place between May 15 to 18, will also mark the company's entrance into the European market, helping to bridge its products outside North America with key partnerships and distributors.

Positron is in the process of attaining the necessary regulatory compliance for its products, and expects approval later this year.
