Uranex NL diamond drilling hits more uranium at Mkuju in Tanzania

More uranium mineralisation has been identified at the Mkuju Uranium project, including a peak intersection of; 10 metres at 1038 ppm uranium, with the project wholly owned by Uranex NL (ASX: UNX).

The project is strategically located with known uranium in the area, adjoining the Mantra Resources (TSE: MRL) Mkuju River project, with a 101.4 million pounds at 422ppm uranium mineral resource.

The Uranex drilling program comprised 16 diamond holes along 5 kilometres of strike extent at Likuyu North, within a total project area covering 5000 square kilometres.

The company said the rig will remain on-site with drilling to resume in early 2011, once all existing 2010 drill data and past program data is evaluated.

Uranex's ultimate aim is to identify the extension of known mineralisation at Likuyu North.
