China Yunnan Copper Australia acquires 51% in Yunnan Copper Sanmu Mining
China Yunnan Copper Australia (ASX: CYU) is increasing its exposure to near development copper silver projects with the 51% acquisition of Yunnan Copper Sanmu Mining.
Yunnan Copper Sanmu Mining is a Chinese registered company with projects in northern Laos.
Importantly with these projects, they are within a transport distance of existing processing centres in the southern Yunnan Province of China.
Consideration will include A$2.8 million in three equal payments over a twelve month period, following final approvals.
In other China Yunnan news, an agreement has been signed with Yunnan Copper Mineral Resources Exploration and Development (YEX) for a joint venture on the Cloncurry North projects.
The farm-in provides the opportunity for YEX of earning up to a 55%, and potentially higher interest under standard dilution formulas.
China Yunnan said that it will now focus its funds on the Rare Earth Element Copper Exploration Program currently being completed on the Mary Kathleen joint venture.
