Department 13 eyes alliance with Booz Allen Hamilton for U.S. defence opportunities

Department 13 International Ltd (ASX:D13), a technology company focused on wireless and mobile technologies has established a strategic relationship with Booz Allen Hamilton (NYSE:BAH).

D13 has ten patents and fourteen patent applications in technologies like drone defence, local area and wide area cellular communications and cyber security for mobile devices.

Booz Allen is a global provider of management and technology consulting and engineering services to Fortune 500 corporations, governments, and not‐for‐profits.

Booz Allen will be a preferred systems integrator for D13’s counter UAV (unmanned aerial vehicle) technology for US defence opportunities.

Booz Allen has key relationships with significant parts of the defence community and D13’s strategic relationship with Booz Allen will enable the company to access this market.

In January 2016, D13 announced that the company is actively promoting the advantages of its commercial counter-drone platform to the U.S. government with live demonstrations for a number of national security agencies.

D13 shares have been on an upswing this month, with the share price increasing by more than 58% since 1 March 2016.
