Dourado Resources drilling confirms anomalous gold and copper at Doolgunna
Anomalous gold, copper and base metal trends have been identified in stage 1 geochemical auger drilling at the Dourado Resources (ASX: DUO) Doolgunna/Mooloogool project.
The gold and base metal results identified from auger traverses confirm, and are consistent with, previously interpreted satellite and airborne geophysical anomalies and structures on these tenements.
Significant and anomalous results include:
- Gold to 22ppb in cover rocks;
- Silver to 33.6 ppm;
- Barium to 1577 ppm;
- Copper to 137 ppm;
- Lithium to 55.6 ppm;
- Molybdenum to 3.54 ppm;
- Lead to 62.7 ppm;
- Tin to 2.93 ppm; and
- Zinc to 386 ppm.
The Doolgunna/Mooloogool project consists of seven tenements which lie within a strong geophysical target zone, with coincident gold and arsenic anomalies.
The Diamond Well project area is situated along the southern contact zone of the Yerrida Basin and the Glengarry Basin, where the company said it is thought that similar structures to those of the faulted Proterozoic contact on the northern edge of the Yerrida Basin at Sandfire Resources (ASX: SFR) Doolgunna Project.
Current exploration activities at the Doolgunna project have produced excellent drilling results as reported by Sandfire Resources including; 2.9 to 5.3% copper, 13.4 to 20.1 g/t silver and 1.0 to 2.1% zinc, as well as consistent high grade gold values.
