dotDigital (LON:DOTD) has told investors that chief financial officer Milan Patel will act as interim chief executive whilst Simone Barratt recovers from surgery.
Barratt underwent surgery, which was successful, in early January and is currently unable to travel into the office during her recovery, the company said. She remains involved in the running of the business, participating remotely.
That said, she and the dotDigital board have taken steps to put in place an on-site leadership structure for a six month period.
Patel steps into the role of interim chief executive, supported by chief operating officer Sharon Head and chief technology officer Steve Shaw who have taken on additional strategic initiatives.
Additionally, Peter Simmonds, existing non-executive director and former chief executive, will support Patel and the finance team one day each week.
In a statement the company said: “the board is confident that the senior team is well placed to execute on the previously outlined strategy together with seeking out new opportunities for continued growth.”
