Bango payment technology powers the global leaders. More major app stores have activated billing routes through the Bango Platform than any other carrier billing provider, and today Bango technology powers more app store carrier billing deployments than anyone else (Progressive Equity Research Limited ("PERL")).

Reaching a larger share of the people than ever, Bango has an addressable base of over 1.7bn. Only Bango processes carrier billing transactions across all four major US MNOs, representing more than 300m connected devices.

The Bango Platform is designed to ensure that payment can be collected for any content or service, sold from any internet enabled device, using any alternative payment method.

Bango post-launch technology is proven to deliver higher revenues of between 20-40%. Award-winning Bango Boost technology provides insights and recommendations to payment providers and merchants, giving partners that integrate with the Bango Platform an important competitive advantage.

Ray Anderson, CEO and Founder
Ray has over 30 years experience in starting, growing and selling businesses. He was named ‘Business Person of the Year’ in 2012. Ray co-founded Bango in 1999 after realizing that the convergence of the internet with the ubiquity of mobile phones could open up huge opportunities for content and service providers. Prior to Bango Ray established IXI which created the industry standard network GUI – X.desktop. IXI was an early leader in the creation of the web. It sponsored the first ever WWW conference at CERN and shipped the world’s first commercial web browser.

Anil Malhotra, CMO and Founder
Anil is responsible for Bango’s marketing activities and app store partnerships, including device makers, app store providers and global network operators. Anil has extensive experience of creating successful partnerships between technology innovators and major market players in online technologies and OEMs. Before co-founding Bango, Anil developed the major partnerships for Cyberlife Technology, one of Europe’s leading computer games technology developers, which resulted in the licensing of the company’s ‘artificial life’ technology by the world’s leading games publishers including Warner and Hasbro. Before that he worked with Bango CEO Ray Anderson to establish a technology called X.desktop, which became the global standard for the user interface software on networked computers.

Rachel Elias-Jones, CFO
Rachel is responsible for overall financial management of Bango, for corporate financial functions and Bango's financial relationships with partners. The global reach of Bango requires a wide range of financial and taxation models, Rachel ensures the smooth running of the team delivering this commercial flexibility. Rachel has responsibility for innovation and management in critical finance functions, and is closely involved in product development to ensure the Bango Payment Platform can scale and handle complex requirements. Her flair for bringing clarity to complex finance structures is reflected in her leadership of "Project Clarity", an initiative that has transformed the quality of analysis and reporting that Bango issues to partners. An experienced finance leader and Chartered Accountant, Rachel spent 5 years in practice at 'top 5' audit firms, specializing in the technology and listed sectors, prior to joining Bango.

David Keeling, COO
David is responsible for service delivery, global operations and account management. He provides leadership, direction and policy guidance to the proven operations, security and customer service teams, aligning them to the demands of all Bango customers. David brings a fifteen year career in service delivery to Bango, with particular success in fast-growth technology companies, more recently at mobile messaging leader Acision, where David led the transformation of the operations function building a number of global services centres. His career in Acision culminated in five years leading its global customer service and professional services organisation, enabling 300 clients to serve over one and a half billion customers in 135 countries. 

Andy Suzuki, Japan Country Manager and regional VP for Asia Pacific

Heading up Bango's office in Tokyo for Bango Japan, Andy brings 25 years of experience developing technology companies in partnership with Japanese customers. With a deep understanding of the telecommunication industries, Andy collaborates with Bango's app store partners to deploy carrier billing effectively throughout Japan and the Asia Pacific region. He also ensures that Japanese operators are able to activate multiple app stores through the Bango Platform and benefit from Bango Boost technology to maximize their success.

Before joining Bango, Andy held executive roles for the Tomen Corporation and OKI Electric in Japan, for Huawei in Tokyo and for the Japanese Ministry of International Trade and Industry (MITI). He has also founded and managed Japanese operations for UK and US headquartered international companies, leading joint ventures, investment partnerships and commercial agreements.


Mark Rosten, SVP Development

Mark leads technology innovation and product delivery for Bango as demand for the Bango Payment Platform continues to grow, driven by app stores expanding the roll out of carrier billing to their customers worldwide. He is responsible for implementing Bango’s technical vision and for leading the development team. Mark’s deep knowledge of platform development and technologies enables the innovation of Bango products, providing an improved customer experience and speeding up the roll out of carrier billing by app stores. Mark has more than 25 years’ experience in developing and leading strategic initiatives for technology companies. He has an extensive background in the systematic delivery of software and critical projects. 


Linda Millett, Head of HR

Linda is responsible for all aspects of Human Resource management at Bango. She is committed to creating organizational value by delivering high-impact HR solutions that deliver innovation in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. Linda is helping to accelerate the growth of Bango through leadership, building a culture of engagement and evolving support systems, to attract and retain the best talent.

Linda brings a wealth of experience in leading organizational transformation, talent management and development, employee relations, compensation strategy and employer branding.

An experienced HR leader, Linda has an MSc in Human Resource Management and is a Chartered Member of the CIPD. She has more than 20 years’ HR experience in the biotechnology and pharmaceutical sector.


Maria Garcia Vidondo, VP Platform Operations

Maria is responsible for the quality and performance of the Bango Platform, ensuring that services are always available for Bango partners, operating at the highest standard. She leads customer-facing support teams, working closely with operators and app stores, promoting the uptake of services and ensuring the best user experience. Working across departments, Maria reviews operational requirements to drive the development and performance of the platform.

Maria is a seasoned Operations lead, who thrives in the complex world of infrastructure projects, process alignment and designing customer-centric processes. She began her career at DANTE Ltd (Delivery of Advanced Network to Europe), where she quickly rose from Network Engineer to Operations Manager and finally Operations Director. At DANTE she worked with clients such as CERN and DEISA, devising technical, operational and procurement strategies to deliver services with 99.999% availability.

Maria loves to travel and particularly enjoys spending time in Asia. In early 2013 she spent six weeks volunteering on infrastructure projects in Cambodia. A Spanish native, Maria holds a master’s degree in Telecoms Engineering from the Public University of Navarra in Spain, and has lived in the United Kingdom since 2000.


Andy Bovingdon, VP Product Marketing

Andy has a real passion for technology, especially anything mobile or web related. At Bango he leads the company's product strategy and is responsible for the interface between products and markets; considering product proposition, requirements, roadmaps, positioning, communication and promotion. He works closely with top brands, mobile leaders and end users to ensure the Bango Payment and Analytics products remain at the forefront of innovation.

Andy has 20 years experience within the global internet market, working for both start-ups and established brands in Europe and the USA. He has been active with the World Wide Web from its inception and was involved in the first web conference, at CERN in 1994. Andy integrated a wide range of web technologies into the X-desktop product range for IXI Ltd; he introduced the world to the web-based Desktop (Webtop) at SCO; and designed the first web-based remote application access solutions for Tarantella Inc., allowing mobile workforces to use mission critical applications from centrally located Unix, Linux and Windows servers over the Internet.

Before joining Bango, Andy was Head of Marketing and Product Management for ANT plc, the leading supplier of web-based user interface platforms for the IPTV market. Prior to that, he was responsible for worldwide marketing at Microsoft Research in Cambridge. Andy holds a BSc in Computer Science from Staffordshire University.


Jim Plimmer, VP Account Management

Jim Plimmer is VP of Account Management at Bango. In this role he leads a team of dedicated Technical Sales Managers. He has primary responsibility for the support and leadership of all key accounts and customer relationships.

Jim has over 15 years experience in product design, marketing and relationship management in the ICT market. At the start of his career, Jim had a fast track journey from graduate programmer to Engineering and Marketing Director at Telsis, an innovative and fast-growing company providing telephony applications to the world's leading telecoms companies.

This position led naturally into a successful career supporting strategic accounts, most prominently Vodafone, Telefonica and Orange/France Telecom Group companies. Prior to Bango, Jim was Chief Technology Officer for Europe and Russia at Acision, the global leader in mobile messaging. In this role, Jim delivered leadership and direction to the regional team for over 100 mobile operators across data, messaging and charging solutions. As a result, Jim has a sophisticated and detailed knowledge of the global mobile operator space.

Jim has a natural understanding of the importance of customer relationships, technology and in executing customer focus and management strategies, enabling him to strengthen Bango's focus on existing customers.


Yomi Popoola, VP Engineering

Yomi realizes the Bango product vision by managing and progressing the development team at Bango. With an extensive background in software development and deep technical knowledge, Yomi is able to optimize internal processes to ensure that products are delivered on time. He works to get the most from the development team and manages the product support aspects of the development process.

Yomi is a fully certified Scrum Master and is qualified in Leadership and Management (ILM). He has worked with Bango's development team for over 5 years, joining as a Systems Developer which saw him become a key figure in shaping the Bango Analytics product. Yomi's leadership skills are praised by his team of developers, who work on Bango's products and future innovations under his guidance and support. Yomi is an avid sports fan, with particular interests in football and basketball.
