"Listing on the OTCQB is part of a long-term strategy to introduce the Company to a broader audience" said Bart Jaworski, the chief executive at the resource firm.

"We believe trading on the OTCQB will help us increase our international visibility, as well as enhance liquidity by providing an alternative platform to trade Group Eleven shares, particularly for our current and future U.S. investors."

The ticker symbol is GRLVF. Group Eleven shares will continue to trade on the TSX Venture Exchange and the Frankfurt Stock Exchange.

The OTCQB venture market is for early-stage and developing US and international companies.

Earlier this month, the group reported results from a drill hole at the Stonepark zinc-lead project in the Republic of Ireland, which showed the deposit is open towards Glencore's (LON:GLEN) neighbouring Pallas Green deposit.

In April this year, the firm unveiled a maiden resource for the site, which showed attractive grades and tonnage.

The estimate was 5.3mln tonnes at a grade of 11.15% zinc and lead combined (8.55% zinc and 2.60% lead) in the inferred category.

StonePark is a joint venture between Group Eleven, which has 76.56% and Connemara Mining plc (LON: CON), which has a 23.44% stake.

In April this year, the firm unveiled a maiden resource for the site, which showed attractive grades and tonnage.

The estimate is 5.3mln tonnes at a grade of 11.15% zinc and lead combined (8.55% zinc and 2.60% lead) in the inferred category.

StonePark is a joint venture between Group Eleven, which has 76.56% and Connemara Mining plc (LON: CON), which has a 23.44% stake.

Today's results come from hole G11-2638-01, which was sunk into an area of high-grade mineralization on the presumed eastern edge of the recently announced maiden inferred resource.

This was the first inclined hole ever drilled in the resource area.

And it hit 5.40m of 25.0% zinc and 7.2% lead (32.2% combined) and 12.2 g/t silver, verifying one of the high-grade zones within the Stonepark mineral resource area (MRE).

"Our team is systematically rethinking the conventional wisdom that has historically guided exploration throughout the Irish Zinc Orefields to see where fundamental conceptual changes might radically change exploration strategy" said chief executive Bart Jaworski.

"We are delighted that our re-think of the Stonepark system quickly opened up new territory for additional high-grade mineralization."

He added: "Robust high-grade zinc and lead mineralization is also a testament to the strength of the Stonepark mineralizing system and by inference, the regional potential on the remainder of our extensive (120,000 ha) Stonepark and contiguous PG West ground position.

"We look forward to combining the above results with our evolving 'Big Think' regional exploration to gain valuable insights into where we might target the potential main source of the zinc mineralization already identified in the Stonepark - Pallas Green region."

Group Eleven's regional 'Big Think' is being applied progressively throughout the firm's 320,000 hectare (ha) property package - one of the largest ever assembled in the Irish Zinc orefield.

Also in today's release, Group Eleven said it was currently awaiting final assays from drilling at the Ballinalack project in Ireland, which are expected over the next two to three weeks.

The said it was "very busy" with a number of regional exploration initiatives, including ionic leach soil sampling, ground gravity surveys, seismic re-interpretation, and basin analysis.

Shares in Toronto were unchanged at C$0.15.

Over the last three years, he was director of investor relations with Great Panther Silver Ltd.

"We are pleased to welcome someone with Spiros's experience in the mining industry to the management team, at this important stage for the company," said Bart Jaworski, chief executive at Group Eleven.

"Having Spiros on board will allow us to expand our reach to shareholders, the media and the analyst community.

"In addition, his appointment will assist our team in continuing to inform the market on the full potential of Group Eleven's 'Big Think' approach and its application to the largest land position in Ireland, with the ultimate goal of increasing shareholder value."

The report was prepared by CSA Global under contract to SLR Consulting Ireland and was based on 88 diamond holes carried out by Teck Resources, which was the previous operator from 2007 to 2011.

The estimate is 5.3mln tonnes at a grade of 11.15% zinc and lead combined (8.55% zinc and 2.60% lead) in the lower confidence inferred category.

The bulk of the tonnage lies in the high-grade StonePark North orebody which contains 4mln tonnes grading 11.95% zinc and lead (9.10% zinc and 2.86% lead) and lies 190m to 240m below surface.

"This maiden mineral resource marks a significant milestone for Group Eleven as it demonstrates not only very attractive grades in a global context, but also significant tonnage from an Irish perspective.

StonePark is a joint venture between Group Eleven, which has 76.56% and Connemara Mining plc (LON: CON), which has a 23.44% stake.

"Past producing Irish zinc mines, Tynagh and Galmoy, for example, were about 10mln tonnes in size" said Bart Jaworski, chief executive.

"At Stonepark, the relatively continuous and shallow nature of the mineral resource is particularly interesting given its immediate proximity to Glencore's Pallas Green deposit - one of the largest undeveloped zinc deposits in the world.

Jaworski continued: "Pallas Green is substantially deeper than Stonepark.

"With the Stonepark resource still open along and across strike, five compelling regional targets within a 10km-radius of the Stonepark resource and several other targets on our adjacent PG West property, we view the maiden mineral resource at Stonepark as only an initial stepping stone towards unlocking the full potential of the Limerick Basin.

"The upcoming Tellus airborne survey over the Limerick and Silvermines region will be especially critical in helping to narrow down prospective structural corridors and greatly advance our regional 'Big Think' initiative."

The Stonepark mineral resource estimate is contained within three main zones - Stonepark North, Stonepark West and Stonepark.

Group Eleven also updated on drilling, with the ongoing initial phase progressing well.

At Stonepark, drilling began last week, and the firm intends to release results from Ballinalack and Stonepark over the next few weeks upon completion of logging, sampling and assaying of the core.

Also, on Tuesday, the firm announced the appointment of Dr Mark Holdstock as project manager, reporting to chief operating officer David Furlong.

Shares eased 9% to C$0.15.

<![CDATA[News - Group Eleven Resources kicks off drilling at Ballinalack project in Ireland ]]> http://www.proactiveinvestors.com.au/companies/news/192618/group-eleven-resources-kicks-off-drilling-at-ballinalack-project-in-ireland-192618.html Group Eleven Resources Corp (CVE:ZNG) has made a major leap - and kicked off diamond drilling its Ballinalack zinc project in Ireland, it revealed, as the group updated on progress.

The resource firm has 60% of the joint venture, while Shenzhen Zhongjin Lingnan Nonfemet Company Ltd, one of the largest zinc producers in China, has a 40% stake.

Second rig coming..

Drilling will initially focus on better understanding the Pale Bed target. One rig is currently operating, with a second to be added in the next few weeks.

Ballinalack lies 50 km west of Boliden's world-class Navan zinc mine where mineralisation is hosted in the Pale Beds limestones along a major regional fault and several holes previously sunk in the Pale Beds at Ballinalack found strong to weak mineralisation.

"We are excited to be undertaking our first drill program as a public company, and I'm particularly pleased our recent 3D computer modelling has allowed us to start testing the Pale Beds at Ballinalack well ahead of our original timeframe" said chief executive Bart Jaworski.

"Fieldwork on our other projects is just starting to kick into high-gear, but it is gratifying to see that preliminary work at the Castlemaine prospect is yielding positive results..," he added.

The 'Irish Orefield'..

The Castlemaine prospect is part of the Tralee project, in which the group owns 100%, and which the firm regards as one of the most overlooked parts of the 'Irish Orefield'.

A grab sample from surface float at Castlemaine was recently assayed and returned 223 g/t (grams per ton) silver, 13.5% zinc and 17.9% lead, representing the highest silver grade observed to date on the Tralee project, the firm highlighted.

Elsewhere, at the Stonepark project, which is a joint venture between Group Eleven (76.56%) and Connemara Mining plc (23.44%), drilling is scheduled to start in the next few weeks at the North prospect to improve the understanding of the geology.

The project lies next to major Glencore's (LON:GLEN) Pallas Green, which is one of the world's largest undeveloped zinc deposits, and has a JORC inferred resource of 44mln tonnes grading 8.0% zinc and lead.

Group Eleven aims to determine if exploration success at the adjacent Pallas Green can be replicated within the same Waulsortian limestone units at Stonepark.

Glencore? Teck? Boliden?

Step forward Group Eleven, a privately-held vehicle that’s less than two years old but which already has over 2,700 square kilometres under license.

Run by ex-Raymond James mining analyst and geologist, Bart Jaworski, the company was seeded late in 2015 and early 2016 which, as anyone who follows capital markets knows, was an interesting time in mining.

“The Chinese market was crashing, the majors were divesting and juniors were looking the other way,” says Jaworski.

“And that made it a really good time to get in. A lot of ground was made open, a lot of ground was being let go.”

That included 1,000 square kilometres of ground neighbouring Glencore’s famous Pallas Green project, and projects on two other of Ireland’s most famous mineralised trends, the Rathdowney Trend and the Navan-Silvermines Trend.

It’s enough to have attracted the billion dollar Canadian company MAG Silver (TSE:MAG) onto the share register. MAG came in for half of Group Eleven’s C$1.5 mln placing in the autumn of last year. The company will list in Canada later in the year.

But given that Ireland is famously prospective for zinc and gold, wherein lies the interest of this major silver company? The answer, perhaps, lies in the silver which is commonly associated with Irish zinc.

Geological model changes ...

But there may be more to it than that.

Down in the southwest, on the Navan-Silvermines Trend, Group Eleven has opened up a series of licenses that have been closed for exploration for the better part of a generation.

And it may be that the traditional model of mineralisation used to define Irish zinc deposits may be in need of modification here.

“It could be that we have CRD or ‘carbonate replacement deposit’ type systems as well,” says Jaworski.

“The story in Ireland has traditionally been that deposits match the Mississippi Valley-style. But the big idea here is that if you go to the south west of the country the geological model changes to a more intrusive one.”

It’s an intriguing proposition, and one that may start to gain a lot more traction now, as mining markets finally start to recover from the fall-out of the global financial crisis and investors begin to look for new inspiration. MAG has already bought into the story, as have other European and Canadian investors.

With Jaworski’s background allied to that of his co-founders John Barry and David Furlong, and with MAG’s Peter Megaw as an advisor, the company ought to be able to pick up speed pretty quickly.

It appears that over the way, on Glencore’s Pallas Green project, things are pretty quiet. But Group Eleven plans to liven things up in the area. It will be interesting to watch.
