Big picture - Why invest in Havilah Resources

Havilah Resources Snapshot

Havilah Resources NL was formed in late 1996 to explore for gold and other metals in South Australia. In mid 1997 Lion Selection Group Ltd became a cornerstone investor in Havilah and subsequently invested $1.9m.

Havilah listed on the ASX on 21st March 2002, following a successful $6 million capital raising. During the following three years the Company patiently acquired a strategic, 100% owned ground holding in the Curnamona Province, which now covers more than 6000 square kilometres of highly prospective Broken Hill age rocks. The exploration potential of this region has been confirmed by Havilah’s drilling, resulting in the release of JORC resources for six significant mineral deposits, including Kalkaroo, Portia, North Portia, Mutooroo, Maldorky and Grants.

Portia Gold Project

Summary

Portia contains a 67,000 ounce Inferred Resource of gold in a 1-4 metre thick layer of silty material lying immediately on the bedrock. Following receipt of final mining approvals in October 2014, a funding and mining contract  was entered into in January 2015  with Consolidated Mining & Civil Pty Ltd (CMC), a well respected and experienced Broken Hill based mining contractor. This contract allows for development and mining of Portia on a shared risk / shared revenue basis with the prospect of Havilah receiving substantial cash flow in 2016, with no mining risk. After several weeks of intense site works, mining commenced on the Portia open pit on 30 March 2015.

North Portia Copper-Gold - Molybdenum Project

Summary

North Portia contains an Indicated + Inferred Resource of 11.3 million tonnes of 0.89% Cu, 0.64 g/t Au and 500 ppm Mo. This translates to a metal inventory of 101,000t copper 234,000 oz gold and 5.68 million kg of molybdenum. The ore is very similar to Kalkaroo and could potentially provide several years additional mill feed for a mining operation at Kalkaroo if a stand alone operation is not viable. A native title agreement and Mining Lease (ML 6346) are in place over the North Portia deposit.

Kalkaroo Project (Copper-Gold-Molybdenum)

Summary

Kalkaroo is a medium size copper-gold deposit containing over 620,000 tonnes of copper and 2 million ounces of gold in a measured resource of 124.5 million tonnes of 0.50% copper and 0.39 g/t gold. The deposit is amenable to a bulk open cut mining.

Mutooroo Copper-Cobalt Project

Summary

Mutooroo is a lode-style massive sulphide deposit located in South Australia about 60 km west of Broken Hill containing an estimated 13.1 million tonnes of 1.48% copper plus appreciable cobalt, gold and sulphur. Metallurgical studies indicate that a modern roasting / acid plant would be capable of efficiently recovering all valuable products including sulphuric acid, copper, cobalt, iron ore and electricity.
