Deltex Medical (LON:DEMG) has signed its seventh US hospital on a trainer contract for its oesophageal Doppler monitoring systems.

The new hospital is in the country's north-west and part of a group that already has a two–year purchasing agreement covering 26 hospitals.

The contract commits the hospital to buy at last 30 single patient probes, with Deltex supplying a clinical trainer to provide user support.

Ewan Phillips, chief executive, said the contract confirmed Deltex’s ability to initiate and support effective clinical evaluations in large US hospitals.

Deltex warned yesterday that annual losses would be £1.2mln higher than expected due to the cash crunch in the NHS.
